BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Crossover Festival is a small, non-profit event that is organized by a dedicated mother/daughters team consisting of Julie, Eleanor, and Emily, who are passionate about music. The festival focuses on showcasing outstanding Bluegrass, Old-time, and Americana music in the UK. By carefully allocating the funds collected each year, the organizers strive to create an exceptional experience for attendees. Crossover Festival books talented artists from both the UK and the US and has a lengthy roster of global artists who have expressed interest in performing, However, the rising costs associated with organising such an event make it clear that relying solely on current ticket sales will not suffice. Crossover ideally needs a lot more ticket buyers and/or additional sponsorship. While the team has been successful in securing some Arts Council Funding in the past, this source of financial support is never guaranteed and involves considerable time and effort spent on complex application procedures. Nevertheless, despite unsuccessful Arts Funding applications, they managed to run the festival in 2022 thanks to the support of the community who purchased tickets early, instilling confidence in the organisers.
Looking ahead, the organisers are aware of the necessity to explore various forms of sponsorship to ensure the continued growth and financial stability of Crossover Festival in the years to come. By seeking sponsorship opportunities, they aim to expand the festival's scale and secure its future success
